STEWARDING THE RESOURCES GOD HAS ENTRUSTED TO US
Everything in the universe belongs to God, including our selves, our time, and our money. And since how we spend and invest out money is a "leading spiritual indicator" of the condition of our hearts, we include an "Offering" segment in our worship service as a way to declare that Jesus is our greatest treasure, and that extending His kingdom to others is our greatest joy.
At River City, we express this truth by covenanting together "to contribute cheerfully and regularly (see 2 Cor. 9:6-7) to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations, as we strive to honor the Lord with the "first fruits" (see Proverbs 3:9) of all our labor.
We strive to be good stewards of all the resources entrusted to us, from buldings to office supplies, and from local pastors to foreign missionaries. We want to be found faithful in all we are called to do, whether the task is small or large. This extends to how we use your contributed dollars. If River City is not seen as a "good investment" for the funds God has entrusted to you, those funds should be invested in a more worthy kingdom ministry.
Your Contributions
River City Reformed Church is a 501(c)3 corporation and donations given to River City are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Financial contributions to River City can occur in several different ways: by placing your gifts in the offering baskets as they are passed during the "Offerings" portion of your service or by mailing our contribution in to the office. We encourage you to give however God leads.
And may our giving not stop with the offering basket. May we volunteer our talents and time, as well as our money, as we use the gifts God has given each of us for the common good.
