Bob Carter
Bob Carter's life and ministry are driven by a desire to declare and demonstrate the love of Christ. It started right here in Wilmington, where he grew up. Bob majored in Philosophy & Religion at UNCW, and served for two years with a Christian disipleship group known as the Navigators at Fort Bragg. Francis Schaeffer, who was a profound influence on Bob, wrote, "There are not two reasons for being a Christian, there is only one. Biblical Christianity is true." With a desire to learn more and to engage in the market place of ideas, Bob pursued a Master of Theology at Harvard University concentrating in historical theology and Hebrew. Aware that Martin Luther and John Calvin had both been law trained, and keenly sensitive to his own need for appreciating the depth and breadth of perspective diversity and effective argumentation, Bob acquired a Juris Doctor degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, School of Law. After practicing law and serving in adult education opportunities for eleven years, Bob returned to school for further reformed studies, this time receiving the Master of Divinity degree form Knox Theological Seminary in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was originally ordained as a Reformed Baptist Minister.

Bob loves to read, debate, travel, and his favorite time of the year is fishing season, which in certain circles lasts year round. Bob has one son, Josh, at the University of Minnesota.
