The Westminster Standards provide the finest and fullest creedal expression of the Reformed faith. They were worked out through several years of intense work by the foremost Protestant theologians in the English-speaking world in the seventeenth century. They have since provided the doctrinal basis, after the Bible itself, of Presbyterian and other Reformed churches all over the world.
The Standards consist of 3 main documents: the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Shorter Catechism and the Larger Catechism. There are several minor documents that also make up the Westminster Standards, however we concentrate on these three.
River City's Elders sincerely receive and adopt these confessional documents as containing the system of doctrine taught in the Holy Scriptures.
